That's a crap load of money.
As for Eller, he should not get a big raise over what he was getting. He had a good post-season but I'm still not convinced. Also, giving him 2 years would make him a UFA after. I would offer 1 year 2 million. |

From the get go its quite obvious what Subban and his camp will be doing.
They will simply max out in arbitration, and sign a 2 year deal. He will then become unrestricted and all other 30 NHL teams will fight for his services.
Obviously the Habs management will not want that, and will have to over pay for him right now on a long term deal. Subban's camp have the habs organization by the balls right now. They hold all the cards. |
